Vessel Movements
Lloyd’s MIU owns the world’s largest and most accurate vessel movement database as well as the largest global AIS network of receivers. This means that the data we supply to you is the most up-to-date in the market.
Vessel Characteristics
Lloyd’s MIU can provide you with access to over 200 individual characteristics for vessels that are either live, on order, under construction or dead. The data we can provide you with ranges from propellers through to hold dimensions.

One of our key strengths is that we publish the highly regarded Lloyd’s Confidential Index which covers the complete ownership history of vessels over 99gt. We have been supplying the insurance and shipping industry with this data for over 250 years.
Casualty
Lloyd’s MIU operates around the clock to ensure that our clients are the first to receive all the latest information on marine casualties, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. We pass over 20,000 messages to the Lloyd’s market and addition clients and possess the largest casualty database.
Our dedicated casualty team can provide this information in any form of communication that is most convenient to you.
Port State Control
Lloyd’s MIU is uniquely the only company capable of providing a full global movement and port state control database as details of arrests and detentions are regularly fed into our system.
