VESSELS
Seasearcher lists ever vessel over 99gt which means we have details on over 120,000 vessels and their related characteristics. This means that you can search for your vessel by:
- Name and former names
- Call sign
- IMO number
- MMSI details
- Current status
Once you have found your vessel you can view the latest position and destination details as well as examine the inspections, detentions and casualties related to that vessel. You can also view the vessel ownership details
COMPANIES
Seasearcher allows you access to full contact details of over 163,000 companies in the maritime industry spanning all aspects of the shipping chain. You can search the database by:
- Company name
- Industry sector – over 42 in total
- Country
If the company you are looking for is a Ship Owner / Manager / Operator you can view their full fleet details and find out if there are any other companies attached to them.

PLACES
Seasearcher contains information on 2,800 of the world’s commercially active ports and over 19,000 terminals. Not only do we supply basic details about the port, we also list all vessels that are currently entering or departing the port concerned.
Each port lists the vessels currently in port or a date they are due in. We will also give you arrival and sailed dates and where possible we can also supply ETA’s (Estimated Times of Arrival).
Within the places function of Seasearcher is the Port Details option which is the online version of Lloyd’s List Ports of the World. This includes comprehensive details on location and capabilities of the ports.
CASUALTIES
Lloyd’s Casualty Archive is the world’s largest database of serous and non-serious casualties. Lloyd’s Casualty Archive has been running since 1990 and is the only online archive to list over 352,000 casualty reports.
The powerful search functions allow you to search by:
- Words or phrases i.e. oil, collision
- Date ranges
- Subject i.e. marine, port conditions
MYLIST
MyList allows you to create individual vessel lists or fleet lists, so you don’t have to keep going in and searching for individual vessels.
MyList also allows you to set up email alerts on up to 50 vessels.
AIS
Seasearcher has the largest global network of AIS receivers and we receive over 32 million position reports everyday.
ADDITIONAL CHARACTERISTICS
With additional characteristics you will receive access to an extra 180 fields of data for each vessel, which includes hull details, cargo capacities and much more.
