Lloyd’s MIU offers its clients a wide choice of services geared towards vessel movements data. Whilst Lloyd’s MIU can provide essential movements data online via Seasearcher, there will be times when that data is not sufficiently up-to-date or show you exactly where your interested vessel is heading. There will be occasions when a client will have an urgent need to track a vessel to safeguard their interests or resolve an outstanding dispute.
For this reason, Lloyd’s MIU offers a Premium Vessel Tracking Service. As a premium service, we go well beyond the information provided by the Lloyd’s Agents located around the world and the millions of AIS data feeds that we receive, in order to pinpoint a vessel’s location and seek out its destination and estimated time of arrival. As part of this premium service, we will notify you of any reported name, flag and ownership change during the period of the track.
By taking advantage of the data received by so many sources around the world, in most instances we are able to pinpoint often the most elusive vessels. Where available, we will provide the following details:
- Last reported location (arrived/sailed)
- If in port - expected sailing date
- Next port of call
- Estimated Time of Arrival
The Premium Vessel Tracking Service can be readily used to locate individual or multiple vessels.

Price
The Premium Vessel Tracking Service offered by Lloyd’s MIU is charged at an hourly rate of £225 (US$371) per vessel. We only charge for the time spent tracking your nominated vessel and we work to an agreed budget (minimum fee of four hours).
